Microclimate Troubleshooting Guide

In this document we will

cover a few problems that you

may come across when using

a microclimate thermostat.

Things can go wrong most of

the time very easy solution to

fix which we will cover further down. Even if any of the solutions further down don’t work microclimate have one of the best customer services going and all their thermostats come with a 5 year warranty even if something goes that is not covered under warranty for a small fee they should be able to fix if you send back to them.

One of the main things you may come across is that your heating channel isn’t powering up your bulb. This is probably because there is a secondary fuse locate near the control box of your thermostat and that has blown. However the ministat, HC6 and the HH6 doesn’t have this secondary fuse. Further down I will add links to where you can buy the replacements from. the fuse blows to protect the channel from surges and arcs such as worn out bulb holders or poor quality bulbs blowing and dragging their filaments. These fuses need to be the microclimate ultra fast blow to keep warranty.

A second problem you may come across it the thermostat is constantly dimming and increasing or turning on and off am itself this is most probably due to a uvb ballast being to close to your thermostat control box.

A third problem is more if you have one of the touch screen evo pro, evo or the evo lite. Sometimes the screen can be unresponsive first thing to do if this happens is slightly loosen the 4 little screws in the back of the screen this should rectify the issue. If the screen goes blank this could be a damaged cable between the screen and the control box.
